While parents may remember spending $30-$50 to see their favorite act in concert when they were young, fans of Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and other acts are spending hundreds, even thousands of dollars on concert tickets in 2023.

So why are ticket prices so high? We explore the factors that go into ticket prices, including supply and demand, scarcity, and the dynamic pricing model. This lesson is appropriate for middle and high school students.
