Why Money Matters
Connecting teachers and students to resources and community to improve financial education for all.
The Need
Financial Education is the key to a successful economy. High school students have consistently failed national tests on personal finance topics and the recent trend is scoring lower, not higher. There is an increasing need for financial education given the recently economy and recession of 2009. Also, new legislation in Ohio states that students must learn economics and personal finance topics as a requirement for graduation. Since this has never been a requirement in the past, educators need resources to leverage to ensure this legislation is met.
