Cincinnati – At the Hyatt Regency in downtown Cincinnati on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 12:00pm former CEO of The E. W. Scripps Company, Mr. William R. Burleigh will discuss priorities for regional growth at the Economics Center’s Annual Awards Luncheon. Over 500 business leaders and key players in the community will join the Center in recognizing community leaders for accomplishments throughout the year, specifically highlighting successes in economic and financial education.

State Farm on board to support Financial Education

The State Farm Insurance recently made an investment in the implementation of the Financial Education Initiative in the Mt. Healthy School District. This grant will directly benefit approximately 250 Mt. Healthy High School students and 4-6 Mt. Healthy High School educators.

Community Support Makes an Impact on K-12 Education

The Center’s Development Office has worked hard to get local and national organizations on board to help the Center carry out its mission to build a vibrant community by inspiring students through economic and financial education. Recently, there have been three major contributions from the Charles H. Dater Foundation, Citigroup Credit Services and US Bank.
