Economics Center featured in UC's Portfolio Magazine

EXCELLENCE IN ECONOMICS EDUCATION
The University of Cincinnati's College of Business highlights the Economics Center impact on the community in 2010 by featuring:
- 2010 Annual Event: The Center hosted more than 500 business and education professionals. John pepper, retired CEO and Chairman of P&G, delivered a keynote speech addressing the importance of investing in school leaders, focusing on early childhood education and connecting the community to local schools.
- Impact 100 Grant: The Center was the proud recipient of the 2009 Impact 100 grant of $103,000 to expand the current reach of 5,500 students in 35 local schools to an additional four low-income urban elementary schools.
- 2009 John C. Schramm Leadership Award: Center Director, George Vredeveld, PhD was honored with the 2009 John C. Schramm Leadership Award from the National Association of Economic Educators (NAEE). This award recognizes an individual whose leadership has had an extraordinary, positive impact on economic education.
