New Project: Urban Framework and Economic Impact of the Renovation of Cincinnati's Music Hall
The Music Hall Revitalization Company (MHRC) is charged with overseeing the extensive renovation of Cincinnati’s historic Music Hall. With an anticipated construction cost of approximately $150 million, MHRC is currently engaged in a fundraising effort to garner substantial support from both the public and private sectors. Private philanthropy and public investment will be instrumental in meeting this endeavor.
As Cincinnati’s urban core experiences its current dramatic transformation, a revitalized Music Hall will complement the extensive new development and growth in population. In order to deliver this important message to the diverse regional audience, the University of Cincinnati’s Economics Center and Community Design Center is conducting a comprehensive study that demonstrates the economic impact of Music Hall’s new construction and anticipated operations, as well as the relationship Music Hall has to the urban framework and arts & culture fabric of downtown Cincinnati.
