
Jeff Rexhausen, MSP - Associate Director of Research
Jeff Rexhausen is Associate Director of Research for the Economics Center.
Mr. Rexhausen has specialized in developing analytic tools to assist clients in assessing development feasibility and economic and fiscal impacts. In his position, which he has held since 2001, Mr. Rexhausen designs, directs, and executes economic development and analysis studies for the Economics Center’s research clients.
Mr. Rexhausen has spent more than twenty years in the field of community and economic development analysis and planning, working with leaders from the public, private, and non-profit sectors to design and implement projects in response to diverse community issues. This experience has involved state, regional, local, and private economic development organizations in every region of the nation.
Prior to his work in the Economics Center, he was a research consultant, with accomplishments that included assisting over 100 communities in assessing economic and demographic trends and issues through development feasibility and market studies. In this position, he specialized in creating data analysis tools to assist clients in assessing market feasibility of development projects.
His public sector experience includes serving as the Northern Kentucky Area Development District’s Development Services Division Coordinator. He promoted community and economic development, and assisted local governments in obtaining grants for development projects. Mr. Rexhausen has published research on community development and economic issues in various periodicals and refereed journals, and he has given presentations at professional conferences of numerous organizations. He has also served in leadership and editorial positions for various organizations and journals. He earned his Master’s Degree in Planning, and his Baccalaureate Degree in Urban Sciences at the University of Tennessee.
