Course Description

The American Revolution, the development of the government, the Civil War, Industrialization, the economy and the protest movements – come learn about great classroom activities and improve your students depth of knowledge.  Learn ways to integrate economic analysis skills into your American history lessons.

All participants receive a copy of the "Focus: Economics and U.S. History" teaching guide specific to their teaching grade level.

This program has a UC graduate credit option.  A grant allows for graduate credit to be purchased for only $229/hour

The class meets for just 3 hours.  Credit requires design of a lesson or formal review of six print lessons.  Details about the credit options will be explained at the session.  There is an option to extend credit to 2 quarter hours through completion of an independent project.
