Course DescriptionWhy do we care about the environment and issues like global warming? How can we make better decisions and use energy more efficiently? Why don’t we use more solar energy? Experience lessons about the environment and scarce resources, the role of government, trade, and competition will be included in this insightful workshop integrating science and social studies standards. Additional Information:The Economics Center will provide materials (Eco-Detectives Teacher Guide), morning refreshments, and lunch. Enter the Scarlet Oaks campus on Depot/Enterprise Drive, off Kemper Road. Graduate credit tuition for this course is now just $99 per quarter hour. April is Financial Literacy Month and we are celebrating all of Spring Quarter. With a generous contribution from a special supporter of economic and financial education, the Economics Center is able to offer a special discounted tuition payment for graduate credit for all of our Spring Quarter professional development courses.
