Course Description

Evenings for Educators is an interactive workshop for teachers of grades two through eight. Each evening session will focus on reading and writing strategies to improve student comprehension of all academic content areas.

Additional Information:

Participants will explore children’s literature and hands-on activities embedded in inquiry-based lesson models that address the Ohio Academic Content Standards.

Participants will network with colleagues from across the region, learning about unique ready-to-use lessons to take back to their classrooms.

The session has a $55 fee for instruction; but a grant allows for graduate credit to be available for only $229/ credit hour.

Graduate Credit Information:

One quarter hour of credit is available for each sesion, with completion of a follow-up project (6 hours of work.) 

All credit requirements will be fully explained at the sessions.  The follow-up assignments will be to review and/or design classrom lessons using books and materials modeled at the class.
