Additional Information:

The original Financial Education Teacher Academy was designed to be an introduction to materials available to teach personal finance in grades 7-12. The course focused on materials designed to teach various personal finance topics such as, Credit, Risk and Insurance, Banking, Career Planning, Economics and Money Management, Saving and Investing. There was little time in this course to explore depth of understanding in any of these content areas or to model any of the materials or lessons that were provided.

This course, Decision Making and Money, Teachers Academy 2, offers time to explore the depth of this important topic while modeling specific lessons and activities designed to quickly engage students in learning.

Participants in this course are not required to have attended the original Teacher Academy; but prior participants are highly encouraged to attend this and the other Teacher Academy 2 offerings.
