Alpaugh Scholars Leadership Program
The Alpaugh Scholars Leadership Program provides an opportunity for Southwest Ohio educators to interact with community leaders throughout the Cincinnati region. Modeled after the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s “Leadership Cincinnati” program, Alpaugh Scholars will interact with local business leaders in seminars and on-site experiences to better understand common issues facing the schools and the community.
Each year, selected participants will attend (5) monthly sessions from October to February. Topics will include healthcare, social services, government, and economic development. One session will be a bus tour of Cincinnati with local historian Dan Hurley.
The Economics Center, partnered with Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, manages this program. Funding is provided through an generous endowment by the Alpaugh Family Foundation. Program sessions are presented to educators at no cost. A graduate credit option is available for participants.
Over 180 education leaders throughout the Cincinnati region completed this insightful program.
